Rev. Dr. Augustine Lansana is a PhD, D.Min, M.A., BA/BSc, (Peace building & Conflict Transformation Specialist) also, he is the Chairman of the Africa Civil Society Platform for Social Protection (ACSP) www.africacsp.org from 2009-2010.
Rev. Dr. Augustine Lansana is an accomplished human rights activist, social worker and a researcher with seventeen years of experience in missions and International development and conflict transformation. He is the Missions President of Baptist Missions, Inc. (USA). From 1992 to 2005, he worked as the director of resource mobilization at Current Evangelism Ministries (CEM) Outreach Sierra Leone. He later worked as the director of counselling & rehabilitation, Baptist Missions, Inc. (U.S.A) for 3 years. The Lansanas were elected as Baptist missionaries to Sierra Leone 2007. Rev.Dr. Lansana serves as Director of Church Planter Training and as a mentor to national pastors. Rev.Dr.Lansana travels in several African nations to minister and train national pastors for Baptist Missions, Inc USA. The Lansanas have three children. Two boys and one girl. The Lansana’s prayer is that God will unify and spiritually mature American and African Baptist workers through BMI churches on the West African coast. Ask God to give them clear direction and dedicated people to carry the Gospel to the African nations.
Reverend Doctor Augustine Lansana is a distinguished consultant in USA and Africa. He has consulted for organizations such as;
· HelpAge International (UK) on Social Protection Programmes in Sierra Leone,
· Commonwealth Police UK, for “Access to Justice” in Sierra Leone,
· UN in the Peace building process; “Community Dialogue” in Sierra Leone,
· Florida Coalition for Peace and Justice (International Youth Camp, North Carolina, USA),
· Sierra Leone Government on the Draft Document on Formulation of National Policy for the Elderly, Sponsored by WHO.
· Department for International Development–UK (DFID) on Social Protection in Sierra Leone
· Lead consultant for SightSavers International (UK) for Sierra Leone program on evaluation of the Community–Based Rehabilitation and Empowerment Project for the Blind and Visually Impaired People in Sierra Leone

I want to make a special appeal to all volunteers and missionaries to contact Baptist Missions, Inc. (USA) a year ahead for mission trips to Africa. We long and short terms mission trips to Africa ranging from two Weeks to two years. Both singles and couples are encouraged to apply. Potentials applicants will go through interviews and recruitments. BMI will help the help raise funds with the candidates.
